Last 7th and 8th of October, one of the most awaited reunions of the Latin American tourism scene was held in Cartagena de Indias. Through the framework of the XXVII National Hospitality Congress and Expocotelco, the hotel sector was able to meet again and draw up key strategies to guarantee its reactivation.
According to José Andrés Duarte, President of the Colombian Hotel and Tourism Association (Cotelco), the main challenges of the Latin American hotel industry, and especially the Colombian one, focus on knowing how to adapt to the “new normal”; listen to the demand arising from the crisis; convey confidence; renew ties with national, departmental and municipal governments; keep jobs and even begin cautiously increasing them as activity picks up.
Josefina Castro, Regional Director of ZAFIRO by Entertainment Solutions, participated directly in the event through her presence at the STAND 88 of the Hotel las Américas Convention Center.
